How can I pause my subscription or skip a delivery week?
You can pause delivery at any time before billing takes place. Billing takes place on the Mondays of delivery weeks. You can pause your account by following these steps: 1. Log in to your account here: https://account.nebullam.com/account/auth/login
2. Click on "manage" under your subscription
3. Click the pause button, and you are all set! If you're going on an extended vacation or traveling, please reach out. We can set up your subscription to renew at any time.
How much does it cost?
Our lettuce is priced at $6.5 for 4 servings and is about 1 /2 pound in weight. Our microgreens are priced at $5.5 for 4 servings. Tomatoes are $5, this includes both cherry and slicer varieties and totals 2 servings. Delivery is FREE.
When and where do you deliver?
We currently deliver to Ames, Boone, Nevada, Ankeny, and Des Moines areas. If you're in or between any of these locations, we can serve you now. We harvest and deliver throughout the Ames area on Wednesdays and the Des Moines area on Thursdays. If you're currently in another location and interested, please reach out. We'd love to know where future Nebullam farms should be built. Don't forget, delivery is FREE.
Can you deliver on a different day of the week?
We deliver to Ames area subscribers on Wednesdays and Des Moines and Ankeny area subscribers on Thursdays. At this time, we do not offer alternate delivery days.
What if I don't want delivery every week?
No problem. You can skip your order or modify your deliveries from weekly to bi-weekly or once every 4 weeks through your Subbly account.
How do I change my subscription frequency or product selection?
That's no problem. You can sign in to your account at https://account.nebullam.com/account/auth/login. To update your subscription frequency, just click "Manage" and then "Change Subscription Plan". To update your product selection, just click "Manage" and then "Update Choices".
What type of lettuce do you offer?
We currently grow red butterhead lettuce and red oak leaf lettuce.
What are microgreens?
Microgreens are the seedlings of vegetables and can be used for sweet or savory dishes, salads, sandwiches, wraps, or even smoothies. Microgreens are PACKED with nutrients. Our current microgreen varieties include Broccoli Sprouts, Micro Radish, and Pea Shoots.
Can I order only microgreens?
Your custom produce bundle can include microgreens only if that is your preference.
Will I know what microgreens will be delivered in advance?
Our bundle options have recently been expanded. You can now log into your account to choose specifically which types of microgreens you receive. We currently offer 3 microgreen varieties: broccoli sprouts, micro radish, and pea shoots. If you have not chosen a preference, then your preferences are set to "surprise me". And in this case, with each delivery, we rotate in 2 varieties. If you have a favorite, please update your preferences or let us know.
Can I find your lettuce at the store?
You can find our fresh lettuce and microgreens at Wheatsfield Coop and East Hy-Vee in Ames.
Can you provide my restaurant with lettuce and microgreens?
We love working with local chefs. Please reach out to us to see how we can work together.
Which subscription is best for my household size?
If you are the only salad eater in your house, we recommend bi-weekly delivery or once every 4 weeks. Weekly delivery is excellent for multiple salad eaters! You can change the frequency of your delivery at any time.
Can I order more or less than 1 pound of lettuce?
Lettuce can be ordered in 1/2 lb increments. Most of our subscribers receive between 1/2 lb and 2 lbs of lettuce per delivery.
Who completes delivery?
Nebullam team members complete deliveries to keep your greens as fresh as possible. We deliver in a reusable bag with an ice pack, and we pick up the bag and ice pack from your previous delivery. Please leave bags and icepacks out for us on your delivery days by 10am. If you live in a building with any door codes or special delivery instructions, please let us know after subscribing.
What should I do with my green reusable delivery bag?
Please leave green delivery bags and ice packs from past deliveries out for us on delivery days by 10:00 am. Our reusable grocery bags are a part of our closed-loop system that reduces waste. When you return your bags to us, we sanitize them and send them back out with next week’s produce deliveries. Each month we will make note of bags and ice packs that are not returned. We charge once a month at the beginning of the month for any outstanding bags from the previous month. Charges will be $8 for each unreturned bag and ice pack pair ($6 for a bag, $2 for an ice pack). Subscribers are welcome to return outstanding bags and packs at any time. As soon as we get outstanding bags and ice packs back, you will be credited for those returned items.
